Great to see Jennifer Grey who appeared in the 1987 American romantic movie Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing.
I was her Safari driver when she visited Kenya at the five star Mount Kenya Safari Club, I was General Manager there at the time.

Had the pleasure of toastmastering the wedding of professional doubles tennis player Ken Skupski and his lovely wife Hayley in Cheshire recently – I will be watching out for Ken at Wimbledon this week.

Last Saturday I did a Lebanese Wedding at Peckforton Castle and on Sunday a Muslim Wedding at the Mere Golf & Country Club and next Saturday, youv’e guessed it, a Wedding in Hale Barns!

I switched on Coronation Street the other week to see that Rula Lenska who plays Clauda Colby the posh hairdresser is back!

Had a most enjoyable evening at the Manchester Skal International Meeting/Dinner at the Alma Lodge Hotel, Stockport,on Tuesday, the staek was excellent, can’t believe I’ve been a member for over 25 years and a past President!

Macdonald Manchester Hotel & Spa recently hosted Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal at a charity black tie dinner on the evening of Tuesday 2nd November 2010, which raised GBP41,000 for The Princess Royal Trust for Carers. 100 guests attended the event where Her Royal Highness was guest speaker. Guests were treated to a champagne reception and a 3 course dinner at the luxury 4 star hotel, followed by an auction and raffle, which included prizes such as a week’s holiday at one of Macdonald Hotel’s luxury Spanish resorts.
Guess who was the Toastmaster/Master of Ceremonies, yours truly!
